I am a scientist by profession and a photographer by enthusiasm. I am an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and a member of Nottingham and Notts Photographic Society. I exhibit internationally in FIAP/PSA exhibitions (for which I have received AFIAP distinction), and in BPE exhibitions in the UK (not as regularly as I should – must change this).
I work mainly on street/documentary and travel/landscape subjects. I also study the history and criticism of these genres, hence the mix of content on this site.
After a decade of trying seemingly every type of camera, focal length and subject, I now carry only a Fuji X100 (and its wide converter), and when necessary and possible, a small tripod, cable release, and a couple of Lee filters.
I was born and brought up in India, received my university education in the UK, and now live in Nottingham, England, with my wife and two children.
